Who Is PA LEARNERS Online (PALO)?
PA LEARNERS Online (PALO), is a regional cyber charter school for students in Pennsylvania.
Over 500 students in all grades attend classes from their homes via the Internet through PALO, a public cyber charter school managed by AIU3. Laptops and Internet connections are provided free to families who reside in Pennsylvania.
Facts about PALO:
- Ten Allegheny County school districts granted PALO's charter in 2001.
- Allegheny Valley, Baldwin, Bethel Park, Chartiers Valley, Deer Lakes, Moon, Shaler Area, South Allegheny, West Allegheny, and Woodland Hills were the granting districts.
- The ten Superintendents (or designees) are PALO's Board members.

Do colleges accept PALO graduates?
Since 2001, PALO has graduated over 300 students. Many who have gone on to college found that the software PALO uses is the same software used by the college to manage its online classes. View the PALO guidance page.
How do you learn at PALO?
Students have live classrooms where classmates and teachers talk, listen, and ask questions. Online assignments and projects are available 24/7. The curriculum is aligned to Pennsylvania Academic Standards and students follow a traditional school calendar.
