PA-Educator.net is a statewide, one-stop clearinghouse for professionally certified educators who want to work in Pennsylvania! How does it work? Applicants create one online application that is then made available to more than 200 participating school districts and intermediate units (IUs). School district and IU administrators enter applicant search criteria and query the database to find qualified matches. Applicant search criteria may include any or all of the following: certification, GPA, years of teaching experience, desired county/counties of employment, highest degree obtained, and applicants with complete records. School districts and IUs also post jobs on the "Job Opportunities" page. Applicants can express their interest in any position(s) for which they are certified. The system saves school districts, IUs, and applicants significant time and money.

PA-Educator.net's Mission

The Allegheny Intermediate Unit is leading a consortium of schools, Intermediate Units (IUs), higher education institutions, and prominent educational organizations in a project that has resulted in the creation of a clearinghouse for teachers and administrative applicants in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, PA-Educator.net, for Pennsylvania school districts and IUs hiring professionally certified educators. This project embodies the recommendations of the Working Together Consortium report of November 1997 to promote hiring practices that enable school districts and IUs to select the best Pennsylvania certified education candidates.
