Data Collection and Reporting System for Special Education

IDEA and ARRA Pass-Thru Funds
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a federal law that governs how states and public agencies provide early intervention, special education, and related services to children with disabilities. IDEA Part B provides funding to school districts and other agencies in an effort to supplement and/or increase the level of special education and related services.
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) is an economic stimulus package enacted by the 111th United States Congress. The ARRA includes increases in domestic spending in education, health care, and infrastructure, including the energy sector. As part of the nation's economic recovery strategy, this stimulus bill includes at least $2.6 billion for Pennsylvania's schools.
Joint Purchasing Program
The Joint Purchasing Program allows school districts to purchase energy, materials and supplies at lower prices, and eliminates the extra costs of a bid procedure. This program saves districts more than $7 million each year.
