PA-Educator.net is a statewide clearinghouse for professionally certified educators who want to work in Pennsylvania. Administrators can use this tool to locate and recruit highly qualified teachers and other school employees.

Superintendents of Schools use the SuperSite for access to the most current and relevant information available.

Joint Purchasing  

Joint Purchasing programs annually save participants in excess of $7 million dollars. Participating school districts purchase materials and supplies while eliminating the hassles of the bid procedure, as well as the cost associated with it. Major items in the program include, but are not limited to Electricity, Gasoline & Diesel Fuel, and Natural Gas.

SmartSTART  

In response to a nationwide shortage of substitute teachers, the SmartSTART program was designed to recruit, select and train persons who hold a Bachelor's degree, but are not certified teachers, to become emergency substitute teachers.

Math and Science Collaborative  

The MSC coordinates efforts and focuses resources on strengthening mathematics and science education. Through its Math & Science Partnership, the collaborative hosts leadership academies and seminars.

Administrative Services and Support  

The AIU provides direct assistance to school districts with planning, school budgets, financial analysis, management workshops, and other areas of administrative management.

Group Term Life Insurance Consortium  

The purpose of the consortium is to enable members to achieve the economies and benefits of group purchasing for term life insurance. Membership is available to all Allegheny County public school districts and vo-tech schools at no charge.

Alternative Education Programs  

The Alternative Education Program (AEP) is a county-wide system of education that provides instruction, counseling, and advocacy for children and youth in detention centers, jails, juvenile institutions, child welfare shelters, and community-based learning centers.

English as a Second Language Supplemental Services  

These items are administrative and instructional services which are available as a fee for service. Services may be requested in order to address compliant program implementation if the district is not utilizing the direct instruction model for the ESL Program.

School Improvement  

Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development staff are available to assist districts in the strategic implementation of the Essential Tools for School Improvement.
