The Math & Science Collaborative
The Math & Science Collaborative (MSC), a Southwestern Pennsylvania initiative that supports school districts in 11 counties, is housed at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, and was established in 1994. The MSC coordinates and focuses resources to improve math and science education regionally and to raise student achievement.
The Math Science Partnership of Southwest Pennsylvania
The Math Science Partnership (MSP) of Southwest Pennsylvania is a strong and integrated collaboration linking more than 50 school districts in the region with an assemblage of local colleges and universities. Funded by grants from the National Science Foundation and the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the overarching goal of the MSP is improvement of student achievement in mathematics and science for all students through learning teachers, involved faculty from institutes of higher education, and sustained coordination through the intermediate units.

The Math & Science Collaborative is celebrating its 15th year anniversary! A reception was held on May 13 at the Carnegie Science Center honoring and celebrating the work of school districts, insitutions of higher education, staff members, supporters/funders, Steering Council members, K-12 teachers, and K-12 administrators.
