Administrative Services

The AIU's Administrative Services Division provides specialized management services to school districts in suburban Allegheny County.  Our staff serve as consultants and support school districts by coordinating regional responses and disseminating information on public education issues.  Directors within this division are seasoned managers who are responsible for customer service and oversee the agency’s daily operations. 

Management Services  

The AIU directly assists school districts with school planning, school budgets, financial analysis, management workshops, and subsidy computations.

Technology Services  

The Technology Services department provides services for AIU programs, school districts and non-profit agencies. The staff provides assistance in managing technology, strategic planning, the maintenance of business systems, and the use Internet technologies.

Human Resources Department  

The Human Resources Department administers employment policies, procedures and employment laws.  Specifically, the department is responsible for human relations conciliation, recruitment, contract negotiation, staffing, and new employee orientation.  Human Resource officers also manage the AIU’s benefits and compensations plans.  Internal wellness and employee assistance programs are available through the department.

Experienced human resource managers are also available to consult with school administrators concerning a variety of employee related issues.  The web-based AESOP and PA-Educator.net programs are two popular services offered to districts.

Communication Services/Public Relations  

The Communication Services Department assists with all aspects of the planning, execution, and evaluation of strategic public relations campaigns using traditional and social media.   Services include the development of communications campaigns for special projects, consultation for crisis communication and media relations, and the development of special publications.
