Gifted and Talented Education (GATE)

The AIU’s Gifted and Talented Education program offers educational opportunities for students who possess high levels of talent and comprehension.  GATE administrators coordinate a variety of activities that promote learning and explore career interests.

GATE Apprenticeship Program 

Forty day long learning experiences with professionals in the arts, humanities and sciences are provided for secondary students during the school year. The program provides for hands-on, behind the scenes experiences and gives students the opportunities to make connections with organizations and people who can help them as they pursue their career choices.

Professional Development and Consultation  

Professional development, inservice programs, curriculum development, and technical assistance are available to teachers, and administrators who serve gifted students. Opportunities to engage with national and local experts in their area of expertise are also presented.
